During this year’s Easter festivities, a fund-raising durbar was organized by the traditional authorities of Tsito Awudome (in the Ho West District of the Volta Region of Ghana). This celebration had cultural significance for the locals, as well socio-economic merits.
The STIHL team of C. Woermann (Ghana) Ltd showed up to exhibit the STIHL brand to potential buyers and connect with agro-forestry value chain actors of the locality who were in attendance.
The exhibition took place concurrently with the durbar on Saturday, 19th April, 2025. Themed “Reigniting the community spirit”, the occasion was graced with the presence of dignitaries including the Director for Food and Agriculture (MoFA), Managing director of C. Woermann (Ghana) Ltd, Mr Carsten Duewer (chairperson), as well as the Member of Parliament for the area (Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah).
As a prelude to the event, a “Borborbor night” was observed on Friday, marked by a beautiful display of indigenous cultural music and dance.
