The STIHL team of C. Woermann (Ghana) Ltd, was again on the move, on its exhibition trail in the month of May this year. The next stop on 7th and 8th May, was in Tamale (600 km northwards from our usual base in the national capital, Accra).
This was another occasion to present key products offered by C. Woermann (Ghana) Ltd. at a 3-day conference organized by SNV (Netherlands Development Organization) – an NGO whose partnership with Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd. is aimed at supplying sorghum through Aggregator Businesses to the brewery giant. Participants within the sorghum value chain, were brought together, from four of the five northern regions including Northern region, Upper East, Northeast and Savannah.
As agro input companies took turns to showcase products and services relevant to the discourse, our team presented on selected STIHL machine products suited for the terrain, were our key focus. These included the brush cutters (largely for land clearing), backpack manual sprayer (for agro-chemical application) and motorized mist blower (which can be equipped with additional attachments to broadcast seeds/granular material), as well as the versatile power tiller (for land preparation/cultivation etc.).
The team’s appearance obviously forms part of initial steps towards making positive inroads into the zone’s prospective agro-power tool/machinery sector.
